Dramatic Fanatics Week 1

We are so excited to start this year off with fun through improv games and learning to work together! During our first session, we learned the basic stage directions such as upstage, downstage, stage right, and stage left, etc. Students played a game to learn these important directions, and they did great! A favorite game was FREEZE during which students create a scene and then another player shouts "FREEZE" to pause the scene and create an entirely new scene from the positions of the players.

Improv takes a lot of teamwork, so we also played games that require multiple people working as an ensemble to make a good stage picture, establish relationships, and create a story together. Students also had fun incorporating props into their scenes in creative ways!

We look forward to another fun week with students!
